Atkinson transferred them to the Museum of Antiquities, Newcastle upon Tyne, where Dr. D. J. Smith provided facilities for study and photographs. For a detailed report see Wright, Archaeol. Aeliana (4th s.) XLVII (I969) I, pl. I, figs. i, z. The site (grid ref. NZ 039749) lies i mile E. of the Devil's Causeway, the Roman road from a point N. of Corbridge
