Archaeological research was conducted in the area of the building of trade centre Konzum
in the former locality of the Olivieri garden, the ex-wood processing factory in Senj from April to
October 2007. The research gave additional information and confirmation about the rich antiquity
necropolis of which data was known before from literature. The necropolis was used for burials
from the 1st to 3rd centuries AD

Senjska Draga ist ein tiefes grünes Tal zwischen den Gebirgen Velika Kapela und Velebit. Durch das Tal verläuft die Josephina-Straße, die im 18. Jahrhundert im Auftrag von Kaiser Joseph II. gebaut wurde. Dies war damals der wichtigste Verkehrsweg zwischen dem Meer und Karlovac in Binnenland.

8: HD061369 : . Brunšmid, VHAD 3, 1898/99, 173-174; sl. 77. Prije par godina poslao je g. prof. Ivan Radetić u Senju muzeju malen jedan kamen s napisom kao dar sadašnjeg pravnika g. Iv. Krajaca. Kamen, ... našao se je negdje kod sv.Križa ili sv. Mihovila u senjskoj dragi. Na njemu je zapisan grčki nadgrobni napis.
