Roman settlement in the rural territory of Tomis, 8 km S of Constanţa on the road to Mangalia. Here and in the Turkish cemetery nearby were found many coins and architectural, sculptural, and epigraphic fragments from the 2d to the 7th c. From here comes the latest Latin inscription found in Scythia Minor. It is a funerary inscription, in the Latin vulgate, inscribed on a limestone cross (late 6th-early 7th c.). The name of the ancient settlement is unknown although an identification has been proposed with Vicus Amlaidina, mentioned on an inscription discovered in the area and on the map painted on the shield from Dura Europos.
