L. Barkóczi, AArchHung 9, 1959, 413: "In the autumn of 1957 we carried out rescue excavations in Szöny, necessitated by the construction of the MOLAJ-factoriy. The site was situated in the precincts of the factory, in south-western direction from the legionary camp at Brigetio. 1000 m southwards from the south-western corner of the camp we have unearthed the cemetary of a small Late Roman Christian community. Above sarcophagus no. 4, .... a fragmentary bronze military diploma of discharge came to light."
