Nach http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pera ist Pera die ältere Bezeichnung für den heutigen Stadtteil (Kreis) Beyoglu. Zu "prope Peram" passt, dass Besiktas östlich Beyoglu berührt

Die Kirche könnte die Beşiktaş Köyiçi Panagia Greek Orthodox Church sein (Marker dort, aber nicht eingeschweift): This church next to the Beşiktaş Square fish market is on Köyiçi Street. The area was mentioned as woods and the Apollo Temple by P. Gyllius, who had been in İstanbul between 1544 and 1550. Eremya Kömürciyan (1637-1695) mentioned a Greek church in Beşiktaş. In its inscription, the church’s architecture, which was built from its foundations on May 30, 1730, was done by Master builder Nicholas of Eceabat. The present day church was built on December 21, 1833.
With external dimensions of 26.28 x 15.6 m, the church is about 9.7 m high. The bell tower was added later to the church which has a basilica plan and three naves.
In the frames on the upper part of the iconostasis are scenes from Jesus’ life story. On the lower part, from the left, are depictions of Panagia Koimesis, the Virgin Mary and Child Jesus, Jesus, and Ioannes Prodromos. On the surfaces of the ambo facing the narthex are Jesus and the four writers of the Gospels.
