comment:
This record was originally given the fo_modern of "Yaxley" where that information came from I cannot see.

"Unknown. It seems reasonable to conjecture that it was found in the Peterborough region on the line of Ermine Street, and was added by the local landowner, Sir Robert Cotton, to his collection" (RIB 2239)

"Origin unknown; now inthe Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, Cambridge. Horsley saw it before 1732 in the Cotton Collection at Connington, Hunts., and thought it came from the Carlisle area but on geological eveidence it is probably local" Sedgeley, The Roman Milestones of Britain, 1975 British Archaeological Reports 18, p. 25 (VIII 1688)

Since the origin of the stone is unclear I have left Yaxley, as it is close to Peterborough and Ermine Street.
