Commentary
Auf Vorder- und Rückseite ursprünglich dieselbe Inschrift; Inschrift beider Seiten eradiert. Im Zuge der Umfunktionierung des Grabaltars in einen Reliquienschrein trat an ihre Stelle auf einer Seite im Jahr 1113 unter Papst Paschalis II. eine neue; Spuren der antiken Inschrift unter der mittelalterlichen sichtbar. Sacerdos Genii Lucii nostri censoris: Kult des Genius des L. Volusius Saturninus cos. 12 v. Chr. (B): Leseabweichungen; Rasuren nicht oder anders angezeigt.
