Commentary
Datierung: nach Paläographie. Monument bisher meist als christlich angesehen; Canto: Verstorbener war Anhänger einer Mysterienreligion. Inschrift mit fast dem gleichen Text ist aus Rignano (Etrurien) bekannt. Nach A.M. Canto ist die Inschrift aus Niebla eine Dublette des titulus aus Rignano. Fabatus starb in der Baetica; in Niebla erhielt er einen Kenotaph, der eigentliche Grabstein wurde in Italien errichtet. (B): EphEp: Z. 2: repetente.
