Commentary

Blöcke zweier Architrave wohl von der Vorder- und Rückseite eines Grabmals im sogenannten Baldachintypus. Gefunden in sekundärer Verwendung für das römische Straßenpflaster. Maße beziehen sich auf Fragment a. Fragment b: 45 x (123) x 22 cm, Buchstabenhöhe 7,5-5,3 cm; nach links hin Inschriftfeld, soweit erhalten, stark verrieben. Auf der Rücksteite beider Blöcke zwei Faszien, darüber Fries mit Kantharos und heraldisch angeordneten Greifen, auf der Unterseite Lorbeergirlanden und Tänien.
