Commentary
Gefunden in Wiederverwendung für ein spätantikes Grab. Palimpsest-Inschrift. Angaben beziehen sich auf die frühere Inschrift a. Inschrift a: Z. 1 oberhalb des Inschriftfeldes; Z. 5: vor M noch das obere Ende am ehesten eines C oder G, nach RIU, Nagy und AE 1939 eines R; (B): Nagy, AE 1939: Z. 5/6: [--- a]rmoru(m) / [custos legionis II ad]i(utricis) p(iae) f(idelis) Se/[verianae. Für die Anbringung der Inschrift b in konstantinischer Zeit wurde der Stein oben und unten beschnitten und um 90 Grad nach links gedreht; Buchstabenhöhe b: 4,5 cm; (B): CIL III: Z. 7: av[u]n[c]ulo.
