Commentary

Schreibtechnik: geritzt. In den ungebrannten Ziegel eingeritzt. Kursive Schrift. E durchweg mit zwei senkrechten Hasten wiedergegeben (sog. 'gallisches E'). Z. 4 daher auch 'ines(t)' möglich - ines lapide, ines(t) lapide. Lesung der ersten beiden Zeilen unzweifelhaft. (B): Z. 3/4: CIL 03, 11451: scul(p)tu(m) ines(t) lapide; CLE 0923: scul(p)tu(s) ines(t) lapidi vult[us ---; Hirschfeld: Z. 4: lapidebu[s].
